Corporate Social Responsibilty

Every human being has the right to a decent life and a carefree childhood. Our social responsibility should, in particular, not be cramped by borders. Within the framework of our supply chain management and the selection of our suppliers, the support of social standards and prohibition of child labour in production are therefore a top priority. As a globally oriented company, we furthermore joined the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). The BSCI is a sector-spanning pan-European initiative for improving working conditions in production facilities in developing and emerging markets, with the objective of facilitating socially responsible participation in a globalised economy. Another focal point of the BSCI is the support of affected production facilities towards conformance with international work standards. More than 600 companies from the trading and manufacturing industry are in the BSCI stable.

To achieve these objectives, independent accredited companies are commissioned to audit social standards in the production facilities. The consequences of violations of the code of conduct are exclusion from the BSCI.
